Day 3 - Staring trek towards Yosgo near Malana village
We were dropped at the dam of the Malana hydroelectric project at around 9000 feet. From there we started our walk up the hill to Yosgo forest. It rained frequently so we had to carry jackets or ponchos.
We walked through the beautiful Malana village. All those people were from a European race. It is told that Malana tribe are the descendants of soldiers of Alexander the Great during their conquest of India. They had separate culture and laws too. They didn’t really welcome Indian tourists much. They drop waste all along the tourist path and pass sarcastic comments whenever they see a tourist. The night at trek was terrible as I had never been on such living conditions without electricity and sanitation. It was more of a familiarisation to a trekker’s ecosystem or even an exploration of the forest life.

Day 4 - Towards Behali riverside camp
The camp was amazing as it was on the banks of Parvati river. The ambience opens your minds to explore the possibilities of nature and the happiness it provides. We went to take a bath in the river in the Parvati valley. The result is a teeth binding shiver. We spent whole afternoon roaming around in the open wilderness but had to have dinner before sunset. There was a campfire as nights were very cold as there were cold winds from the snow melt river. The night was damn cold.

Day 5 - Towards Watching forest camp
Surrounded by valleys, snow capped mountains, the path to the forest was breathtaking. We took a lot of breaks to enjoy the magnificent view. Forest was at a height of around 10000 feet. Night at forest was also another hardship filled with fun.
Day 6 - Towards Nagroni camp
This was another scenic open camp located at 9000 feet. From here we could see the snow capped mountains. We roamed a lot around the camp searching for sheep meat. We had to sleep early and leave the camp by 4 in the morning as the next day was the trek through the Chanderkhani mountain pass and it was long.
